The Origins of the Orange Underground

Some trace the roots of the Orange Underground back thousands of years to the ancient Greek Goddess of Chaos, Eris. Others dispute this, arguing that the Rules of RAoC more closely parallel the practices of the followers of Discordia, the Roman Goddess of Disorder. Still others believe the Orange Underground draws its central inspiration from the absurdist Rinzai branch of Zen. Or the mythological archetype of the Trickster. Or the Coyote of Hopi tradition.  

In recent years, experts have posited that the Orange Underground is a front for an emergent form of snack-based anarcho-syndicalism filtered through the prism of Quantum Indeterminacy. Finally, a small but vocal group of Swedish post-structuralists have argued that the Orange Underground was instrumental in spawning the Surrealist and Dadaist movements of the early 20th Century.  

All of these people are complete and utter nut jobs.

There is no beginning. And there will be no end.
